The Wildcats had home ice, Easter Weekend they laid an egg. The Wildcats are down 0-2 in the series to Chicoutimi, where they have controlled most of the series but just haven't been able to be rewarded for that, and now what has to change to get back in the series.

2024 Playoff Preview

The time has come, the regular season is over and the seeding is finished and we know now who we play in Round 1 its a matchup with the hottest team in the QMJHL in the past 20 games (16-4) Chicoutimi Sagueneens. So who are we picking in this series, well it was a tough choice.

Cause for Concern?

The Wildcats have an under whelming home stand, losing both games to the Eagles, who we want nothing to do in the playoffs, but we FINALLY broke the streak as we beat the Mooseheads AT HOME!!
While we are hanging onto 3rd in the conference but can we stay there, going to be a exciting final week in the Western Conference Playoff Race with Wildcats-Eagles-Sags & Oceanic.

Playoff Push

2 weeks left in the regular season and the playoff races are heating up as we come down the stretch, and as we look ahead to the playoff, do we forecast an upset?!
Some injury news around the league and we know the next class of QMJHL Hall of Famers.
2-1 on the weekend for the Wildcats sets up nicely to continue to stay in 3rd in the conference, but this is a crucial week coming up with 3 straight home playoff games vs opponents for the first 2 rounds, so you wanna set the tone for home ice if we meet these teams.

Jeremy is back from his "scouting mission", so were back with a little draft talk as the new CSR list was released, and some names that have caught Boucher's eye. 
The Wildcats go 1-1 on the weekend, but they looked a little different in those games as Dan Lacroix was not behind the bench (family matter) and there was a different feel in BOTH games from the Wildcats and it was quite noticable.

Home stretch

Wildcast Podcast Presented by Alphas Appliance Solutions. 
We had some BIG news this past week as the QMJHL voted & announced that the league will reduce the schedule from 68 to 64 games, each team dropping 2 home and 2 road games. Our guess would of course be divisional games, but with less games with the tickets be less?
Well we're coming down the home stretch as we finish the month of February, but it was an up and down finish to the weekend. They got 3 of 6 points, surviving in Bathurst behind Warren preformance, outlasted Isles on Sat and forgot to show up Sunday.
